I just got everything I need to bag my truck: bad mo fukka kit, 4 link 28" lowers and 30" uppers with flex bushings, new link mounts, crossmembers, brackets, drop beams and I'm mounting the bags on the barsBut I'm not sure where the best place to start is out side of removing the gas tank and getting all the stock shit out of the way...I just need a kick in the ass what are your usual steps to installing a four link?

umm is your truck notched already?

i usually weld a couple of peices of metal from the frame to the axle to hold it in place, then remove the leafs. the axle will stay in place, and it will be located side to side, and in the place it was in. then do your fab work. but if youve never done this, look at other pics of peoples four links and try to copy what they have done, so you dont have anyproblems when driving

i would say mark your axle center point on the frame, set up your fourlink, and then put in the notch. once the stock frame is gone, it's kinda of hard to measure and make sure it's centered.

no its not notched yet,but thats the first thing I need to do. Should I level out the whole truck on jack stands first?Should I weld the pieces on to the axel with the tires on the ground?how do I find the center of the axel to the frame a plumb bob? should I measure of the brake hub for the link tab placement? If I weld the pieces to axel at stock ride height then thats where my best ride will be right? If I want my best pinion angle to be half that height then this method won't work right?

ok sounds like ur pretty new to this so u might wanna try to find some good local help. (if ur in the north alabama area i'll give ya a hand). but yea use a plumbob to find were ur axle should be. then position ur fourlink bars and tabs weld them on fully then postion ur notch and weld it in then after it is fully welded cut out the section of frame then let the truck all the way down to the ground and install ur bag mounts. and far as the jackstand thats not a must just make sure its level
