Ok so i cut the cab around all the way around, sectioned out the firewall for it to come down. It didnt lay in front so i looked around to see what was holding it up and it was some wiring harness bracket hitting my exhaust manifold. So it dropped down more but is like 1/4" shy of laying. I have looked and looked to see what is keeping it from laying. I cant seem to figure it out. No metal is binding on the firewall. Also since ive been prying and working it around to get it to lay, the cab has shifted back about an inch or so and the firewall is already very close to shit in my engine, so if i were to scoot it forward an inch i dont see how it would work. Oh ya it s a 4.3 by the way, any help would be fucking awesome.

is it hitting the top of the tranny? depending on how big of a body drop you are doing you may have to cut the tranny tunnel out and raise it up to get it to lay out all the way.

What is it close to? My 4.3L had more clearance than most.Thats with a 3 7/8" BD.

The floor of the cab should not have moved. The trany cant be touching.

ya the firewall was hittin the tranny but i notched it out more now its fine. I mean i dont know for sure if its gonna hit shit when i do move it forward. Im worrying about gettin it to lay 1st before adjusting the cab. But i mean with it scooted back as much as it is now. It already had a wire harness bracket hitting the manifold bolt

its a 3.5 BD traditional by the way

how i cu the fire was i cut it at the seem where the firewall and floor meet, then cut 3.5" down from there... if i were to have cut UP from that seem then i would have been cutting threw my steering and heater and shit

Didnt know you sectioned it at the floor,so thats my bad. I sectioned mine up higher because i dont have heat and a/c. Good luck with the rest of the BD.

Was that not what i should have done? Cause i didnt see any other way unless i moved my steering column up like an inch or 2
