just started welding...

i just picked up a welder last night. finally got to try it out this afternoon on some scrap. i took some pictures of what i thought were the best series of welds. ive never picked up a welder before and this was what i could do after about 2hours.

just looking for some input/suggestions. thnx

is it a mig welder or what... thats a awful lot of spatter... try holding it closer to it dont arc as much... and it will eliminate alot of the spatter... other than that just keep practicing..

yea its a lincoln mig/fluxcore
ill have to try running it closer next time thanks. how do you think the actual bead itself looks?
