im just about to shorten my oil pan just wondering wether anyone has had any troubles with there oil pickup gettin in the way?cheers in advanced

of course it will, it sits about 1/4 above the oil pan bottom.. so yes cut it and shorten it..

I used a cutting wheel,just cut the same amount you took of the oil pan.You should only lose one quart of oil when you do this.

i need to do this too...so i'm guessing this doesn't oil starve the engine or anything right?

Ad a sump off to the side or something to keep oil capacity close to stock.

i'll post pics of mine soon as i get it. my buddy Wes(CIMLAFNATU) juss did mine. i believe he juss moved it up. not sure cause i haven't seen it yet but yeah...i'll post pics when i get it.

On the 2.6L you take out 1 inch or inch 1 1/2 i cant remember,you only lose one quart they have a 5.1 system.I talked with Isuzu before i did this and they said it would be fine.

you can also swap to the 2.3 pan, i did, it's just a pain to get your pan off.. just to be clear you have like a little mini pan coming off the bottom of a cast pan.. unbolt where the cast meets the motor.. I asked on here if anyone had done it when i thought about it and no one had.. but thats what will work best in my opinion..
