Hi my name is Dan and Im new to the site. I will be air baggin my '78 Luv and I want the best non binding side to side as possible. Would a triangulated 4 link be better or a wishbone 3 link?

it all depend on your end links if you get a four link with the super pivot end from suicidedoors.com you will have awsome side to side action even with a wishbone set up with the super pivot end you would have good articulation. I love the look of Luvs good luck with the project.

Wishbones also could allow you to keep the gastank in the stock location.. or just raised a little if needed.. instead of relocating to the bed to make room for forward facing triangulated bars. That's always a plus, and even with a 3-link you can hit sides too..

Just get some super pivots for the axle end of the 4 link and you'll be good whichever way you choose.

wishbone 3 link with a quality bushing and a quality heim with misalignment spacers...you know they sell rebuild kits for super pivot joints for a reason..go heim much better.

super pivot = metal to urethane contact
heim = metal to metal
go for the super pivot joint man

aww it makes sense now why they have rebuild kits...urethane must not last very long under the conditions it is put through..you knew they sell teflon lined heims?and dust boots if thats an issue?

I think Im going to go with the triangulated 4 link because I was going to make a fuel cell anyways.Im going to drag it and I dont feel safe with the tank being engulfed in sparks lol.Thanks for your help everybody!

Sorry to hijack your post. But I was just wondering. Does it matter which way you run your wishbone?

It doesnt matter which way you mount it so just go with what way works best.
