I kinda like the way the end of the article is written. It's like..."f*ck you, we're still comin' back next year." It shows that the police can be jerks, and that they were just looking for someone to arrest. It almost sounds like the article worked in our favor because it showed how much money was raised for a good cause, no matter what happened.

"To me it's like racial profiling: Anything with a hat on backwards or a black T-shirt, they think you're doing something," Lewis said.

That article isn't entirely true. Dont believe everything you see and only 1/2 of what you hear. First of of all more than 13 people got hauled away from my hotel (the host hotel for the show.) I saw them all getting zip-tied and put in the back of cars. A rentel car didn't run over Pecker's bike, one of our So-Cal members rode it into a parked rental car Thursday night. The bike came down in the back of Poops Hemi, not on a trailer. As long as Pecker is a member of our club Relaxed Atmosphere you bet your ass he'll be at our show! That article is making him even more famous! Yes, the host hotel will not be the Best Western anymore thanks to the family that owns it. Just can't work with them anymore. Already have one set up for next year, that wants us. Yes, we all agree about the profiling that's been happening at all the shows this year. It's true, prolly cuz were white. All in all our show went great. Helped a bunch of people out and donated some loot to charity. Everyone had a blast and can't wait to do it again. Thanks to everyone for coming and for helping out when need be. Nice to see other clubs stepping in and doing what needs to be done. Hey Mike A. Show or Party???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I thought this show had "free reign" over the city because the mayor or somebody was super cool? That's all I heard about it last year.. everybody was dragging and raising hell and not getting the law in the midst of things. That was the main reason I was planning on going in '07. If cops are getting strict I'll say screw it. I don't want to drive 10 hours to, at some point in time, see a hotel manager walk outside threatening people by saying the cops are coming. Because people are acting ignorant, but that happens every show right.

What everyone that didnt attend the show that is reading this thread needs to know. Yes the town is super cool but they do respect the law and expect the people that visit to do the same. Some things that where not reported in this newspaper article is that 2 Young men where Stealing from a Local Establishment and got caught Stealing, that hurts all of us as minitruckers one action like that hurts us all. Jerry Lewis had done alot of Personal Relations work with this town and Managment. And was a Letter handed out to every Participant of the show stated the concerns with the town.
On the Hotel deal, THE BEST WESTERN IS RACIST Owned, NEAL the manager was completely an Ass! DO NOT STAY THERE EVER if you are a minitrucker, DO NOT STAY at BEST WESTERN in Millington TN. They did not stand up to the agreed rates for show participants and where RACIST and Profiled Minitruckers......

Man this is sounding sooo familiar. The newspapers have no reason to be accurate in their reporting just as we found out. Read these warning signs. You don

They certainly don't have their facts straight. It is funny, tho. The sad thing is that there were some really cool cops. The "commandos" on the night shift, were the people who were out of control. I did NOT find the Millington jail familiar, however... I never spent any time in THAT facility...EVER. I felt sorry for people who were dragged out of their beds and hauled away in zip ties! I travel this country for 8 months a year, going to shows and I have rarely witnessed a police force with a worse attitude. I WILL return to that show (maybe I should have my head examined) but you can't let the MAN get you down. To set the record straight. I explained to the officer that I was a member of Relaxed and I was at the sight of the firecrackers, only to try and help diffuse the situation. That was when I was told to stand against the wall. It is really a shame. I love the ball stadium for the show's venue however, it would not bother me in the least if the sight was changed. Perhaps we could try a town that might want and welcome us.
