just a word of advice stay away from the getrag style 5 speeds there not very strong and exspencive as hell to buy new or rebuild but any of the other style work great ...

what kinda 5speed came in my 94 tbi 4.3 then??

i have a 4L60E in my 97 2.2L s-10. does it have the same bolt pattern as say a 700R4?

all 4.3v6 and small block chevy engines have the same tranny bolt pattern. You would just have to find the right flywheel to match the motor and tranny.

yes.

the only tranny differences is when they went to the gen3 small blocks in the 97+ vettes, 98+ camaros and 99+ new body style trucks, the bolt patterns are the same, except there is 1 extra bolt that your older tranny will have to be drilled to slip the bolt through .. that is it!

as for the 4.3 5-speed.. if you've got a 94-95, your slave attaches to the side of the tranny and hangs below the frame, you'll need to get a 96+ 5 speed to lay out.
