what is the best way to unibody a truck

I was planing on putting steal mounts under the cab. Then buying two new bedsides and welding them to cab, brace it from the inside with box tubing. Brace the back the same width apart is the cab is, and build a new floor for the bed with 1x1 box tubing and weld 16ga metal to the box tubing

make some sorta soft mount (like what ur cab is on).. for ur bed..

heard it was a good idea...

rubber mount all the way around. the frame is going to flex no matter what.

my floor is removed. i pushed the bed to the cab and welded it solid. the frame flexes, and the bed can flex with the frame. it does move some, but not much. my whole rear is shaved also.

^^^thats how no1lowr's yota was until we cut the back wall of the cab out to put a regular bed on it.

same thing i heard... to move the bed right against the cab

heres a friend of mines truck. he left the bed in the sock position then used pieces from another bed to bridge the gap between the bed and cab. its well braced inside. he also used the rails of the other bed to cap the doors off with. great truck and should finally be done by next spring. This thing was started almost waaay back and he just hadnt had time to get to it again until recently. im glad to see it coming together again
