Ok so I got my webber from a B2600i. The question is how can I tell which one it is? Also where to buy adapter plate for it?

Weber carbs have the model numbers and venturi sizes stamped on the side of the baseplate, so post those numbers on here and we can tell you what you got.
However, the B2600i's were fuel injected- did you mean a b2000 or 2200? More importantly, what model are you putting it on? That, along with the model of the carb, will determine the adapter needed. Good luck!

Not calling you out Phil but i'm pretty sure the late 80's (87 or so) 2600 were carbed. I found one at a junk yard one time.

that is true, but its a 2600, not a 2600i. the i means fuel injected. so everyones kinda right

if it came from a B2600, it doesnt have the right adapter plate for a B2200/2000. The 86 87 B2600 were powered by a Mitsubishi motor and everything was reversed, meaning the exhaust was on the passenger side and the intake was on the drivers side.
Doesnt mean you cant use it though, you just need the right adapter. It is likely a DFEV, the F means its a mirror image of the DGEV carb that is sold in a kit for a B2200/2000. Which means the linkage will be on the opposite side of the carb than normal, you will need to make a linkage.
If it is a DGEV, you have the same carb they sell in kits and you can buy the right linkage adapter.

Russ-D, you rock as always. Could the throttle plate be reversed to get the linkage coming out the correct side, or is the whole casting different?

nah you cant switch sides, its two different castings between the F carbs and the G carbs. Everything else is exactly the same though, a 32/36 DFEV looks like you held a 32/36 DGEV in a mirror.
You can fab the linkage to the other side pretty easy though, Ken over at mazdatruckin.com has a writeup about using the Holley 5200 carb, which is essentially a Weber DFEV. I was only mentioning it because when you get on the phone to order the Mazda adapter they will try to sell you the linkage too and unless you need a paper weight, the linkage for the DGEV will point the wrong way on the DFEV.
