Custom License (Number) Plates???

Hey guys.

Started thinking the other day about some custom plates for my benz... I come up with the plate "TKN BNZ" but then after some more research...

I began to wonder what a set of Custom License (Number) Plates cost you people over there in the states.

here in aus you can choose your own 3 letter 3 number combo for bout AU$300 to own the plates forever or. full custom plates that say whatever you want are about AU$2200 again you own them for life...

People have purchased such plates then put them onto a plate auction and sold plates such as "FERRARI", "SINGLE", "X-FILES", "WANTED", "LOADED", etc. etc. for up to and even over AU$50,000...

I think we must be the only country in the world sick enough to pay such rediculous priced for a tin plate...

What's your story???

$2200 for a custom plate? Holy shit, here in KY their only $40

yea mine was $120 i think when i first got it in FL but it might have been less. i'm kinda forgetfull

Yeah but that pays the registration for life and what is the exchange rate?

cost me 5.50 here in hawaii

its like that in most other countries. i lived in England for a little over 5 years and it was the same way- expensive. where i live now its only 25 dollars.

In South Carolina you you $50 & that covers the tag & application fee. Regular tags pay $15 a year & custom tags pay $30 a year, but I think the extra $15 is worth it!
