help replacing a oil pan 01 dime!!

Well tonight i crushed my oilpan, after getting home 5 hrs later i looked in the hayes manual, It says that you have to remove the engine to replace it, is this true!! anyways any tips and sugestions of a place to purchace a new one would be helpful!
