just wondering how to adapt to the old frame rails. Just wondering how you guys do it. On an average how muchyou think it would cost in stock for all the steel and stuff.Very interested in doing it. I think it will help if i see some pics thanx

id say no more than $50 in steel since 2x3x3/16 is around $4 a foot and youre only doing a backhalf. Everybody's truck is different depending on the type of link setup (length, triangulated, parallel, 2 link....) and if the bags are gonna be on the bars or over the axle or hydraulics. you need to slide the new box tubing inside the stock frame to start with then plate it with 3/16 or 1/4 to join them and start cutting and welding the box tubing. the link setup takes alot more planning than building the frame rails.

when you plate around the joint where the 2x3 is inserted into the stock frame...what do you do about the lip thats gonna be on the outside of the 2x3 from sliding it into the stock frame...juss plate over it and it'll be fine? lol might be a little confusing but hopefully you understand what im askin.

i did my own rear clip, this is how i did mine (not saying its right or wrong). i made both of my rails, layed them next to the stocks marked on the top of the stock rails where the tubing would need to go into it, then marked at the bottom where it would meet up. cleaned everything with grinder. cut the top of the channels where i could drop the tubing into the stock frame, tacked in place, measured a billion different things a billion different times, welded it in solid and plated it in. plug welds are always a good idea and add tons strength if done properly. i think i ended up with like 500 or 600 in mine, thats with new fuel tank, four link parts, and materials.
