with 17" you should not have to cut your frame.

i took them out and my tie rod ends were hitting the frame its stopping my truck from going down in the front so i do have to cut my frame.

yes, you have to c-notch the frame above the tie rods. cut it and plate it!

i dont think you can lay the front of an s10....to lay on a 17 without drop spindles, itll be really close, depending on the series tire. but if you ever plan to go to 20s or larger, id notch it now just so you wouldnt have to do it later. if you never plan on running bigger, get the spindles and save your frame some torture, cuz you wouldnt have to cut it then.

if you plan on running 17's why don't you just fork out the money and buy drop spindles instead of notching your frame when its not needed.

im bd on 20s and it bairly hits on the frame but i have 2" drop spindles, my advice would be to get yourself some spindles.
