I gotta get my floor so it's not so hot! Does the exhaust/header wrap work well? what brands the best? i basicly want to wrap all the way down under the cab...how many feet (extended cab ranger) should do it?
any advise appreciated!

header wrap is a great way to crack your exhaust manifolds and pipe, it holds the heat in the OUTSIDE of the pipe. Get it ceramic coated, it reflects the heat INSIDE the pipe. Ceramic coating wont be near as cheap as header wrap, but only one doesnt crack your headers over time.

Russ is right, it will crack manifold, or make headers brittle.
But, running it on the actual exhaust shouldnt cause any problems. And if it does, its easy to replace. In my experience, it works really well to retain heat. Go to your local auto parts store, and get a roll of the 2" wide stuff. It will be under $50. I think I spent $35 on a roll. That will be enough to wrap your exhaust from the engine bay to behind your seat I'm sure.
I put some on my bike because I kept burning the shit out of my leg. No problems now.

when i raced go karts we put it on my exhaust... that shit saved my arm. i have never actually seen it mess up a set of headers but thats what ive heard. it should be fine on the rest of your exhaust.

Thanks guys.
It's not going on the headers...just the tubing under the cab.

I realize that. But I was agreeing with Russ. My Thorley header came with a warning that said the use of exhaust wrap would void the warrantee on the header.
