Whos shipped vehicles?

I live in cali And am currently in the market for a new ride. If i were to buy a vehicle on the east coast, is it better for me to fly out and trailer/drive it back. Or better to pay a car hauler to send it to Cali? Whats that usually cost? Does anyone have any input on this subject that will help me make the best decision?

Some guy just bought a 31 ford off my dad, And had the car shipped to Philly and payed 18 hundred to have it shiped from orange county to his spot...
