If you look on ebay the Clarke 180 looks like an awezsome deal. Anybody ever bought one? Whats the quality like. The warranty looks pretty decent!
Never heard of them.... gotta link?
Body dropped my truck with one..good deal and its a good welder if you ask me.
Clarke welders have been around a long time. My buddy has a Craftsman that is built by Clarke, and it is going on 10 years old. Another freind of mine used one to do part of the b-drop on his truck, and that wire welder was REAL DAMN OLD!!

i have one.. i have the 130 version.. the only problem me and another friend are having with them, he has the same one, is the sleeve starts to fuck up.. the wire will get caught inside of the handle on the spring looking thing that goes to the tip.. u can cut it straight and it still grabs it.. call clarke, get a new one, works great for 6-7 months and time for another.. im' about to call clarke for my 2nd sleeve in a yr.
other then that, they are a GREAT welder.. i've done everytrhing from sheetmetal work to 1/4" bracket work and not 1 problem.
so you did frame brackets with a 130? im looking at the 180. its looking like a good alternative to getting a way more expensive miller or hobart.

yep.. it welds 3/16 and 1/4 really well and its only a 110v welder. never had any problems. it only has a 33% duty cycle and i've welded and built a few trucks with it and its never shut off on me.
hel yeah man....i remember i used Josh longs 130 or 140 amp welder to put upper bag brackets in my girlfriends truck at the time..and that shit held up for untill...well....its still around....mazda frame isnt even 1/4th inch thick. so i dont doubt it. the 180 will be good for me though because i will use it for frame ...sheetmetal...and...custom bike frames.but mosly minitruckin..
A few more positive inputs and im buying one.
