I need an IRS for a 99 S10 I'm doing. 300ZX and RX7 Rears seem to be the most popular. What am I looking for (year ranges, etc). Which work better than others width wise, etc?

87 RX& IRS Should work...

the 300zx looks like to much of a cluster fuck... I had one then took it back and exchanged for an RX7 IRS.

I have an RX7 sitting in my garage right now, and it appears to be pretty easy to make the framework for it. Haven't seen a Z rear in person, but this RX7 rearend seems great!
It's a little wide for my Datsun, but looks like it would be great on an S10! Good luck!

i've seen a couple of s10's with corvette irs setups. i don't know if they had to get custom shaft made for them or not though.

Inboard discs, E-brake, easy to narrow, easy to mount, lots of aftermarket parts available.Out of an 87 Jaguar XJ. You can get big brake kits, bigger axles, shortened axles and arms, lockers, and R&P sets.

I like the inward brakes those look hot.

the earlier 300zx rear ends arent bad, they are simpler than an rx7.

The 300ZX's aren't bad. Just throw out the subframe and build your own for your backhalf/frame build anyway.
