i hate when problems like this happen, i think i need a new liner because i KNOW my welder gets abused and my wire seems to not come out as consistent sometimes and itll seem like theres no gas, but it ends up being that its just losing its arc or w/e from stuttering out lol.
Well, I got it working. I don't know what it was. I pulled the liner out, and it looked perfect. So I blew out the hose and the liner and put it back together. I turned it on, opened the bottle and pulled the trigger. I heard the purge, and I could smell the gas...
ive had this exact problem before and i was just like you, i checked all the gas lines from the tank to the welder and everything was fine but it welded like it dident have any gas but it did.
since your kinda tuging around the cord for a wiel it starts getting loose and those 2 o rings you were talking about stop doing there job. so i unlusend the bolt or handle that keeps the cord in and tight and puched the welding cord in as much as i could and tightend it back up.
somthing so simple took me about a day to figure out.
hope that helps
If you feel gas coming from the nozzle and your ground, material type, machine settings and such are in order than your regulator could very well be the problem. What happens is the regulator lets out too much gas which creates a vacumm effect and draws oxygen into the weld puddle. When I weld with flux core it will happen especially when I'm out on the job site.
