welding class...what do these things mean?

i am looking into taking some welding courses this fall and i am looking on the american welding society website and the school closest to me offers a certificate but i look two schools down and the other schools start saying something about SENSE levels and that they are an AWS SENSE SCHOOL. what is the AWS SENSE thing about?should i go there .. would i get better training or will the community college that offers welding be good enough for me? i just want to learn more about mig welding and how to tig weld, but i want to be good at it.
