I was looking at some centerline wheels and was wondering if a 17x8 with 5" of backspacing would tuck under 4wd sheet metal? Also would a 40X24 rag fit in my standard cab. Thanks

yes, if you have 4x4 metal that will fit.

and no, the roof curves at the corners. I have a 35x20 and it has to be notched to curve with the roof, I couldnt imagine much wider fitting well or looking good or both, but hey, nothing says you cant just take out a tape measure and mark out the roof to see if I am wrong. I have been before, I will be again.

I made a cardboard template that size and i saw what you meant by the roof curving russ. Thanks for the info on the centerlines.

I need to add a ragtop question here...

what exactly are the front corner knobs meant to do? when I had them latched to the frame this morning (first time in the rain) it leaked at the corners BAD! so I pulled off and just cranked them down tight, but didn't (cuz it was too tight) latch them to the frame and then it stopped leaking, does that make any sense????

a man once told me russ d killed an armed man with only his bare fists. it woulda been a cool story except for the fact that the term "armed" meant he had lost his arms in a severe tractor accident, where the tractor "armed" him with a mower-like attachment.

I'm a lover not a fighter. Just ask cris, he's a screamer, not a pillow biter.
