ok, so i decided to ditch my traditionally bodydropped cab and start fresh with a stock floor.
Im curious on a few things about the body mounts. What are people useing for the bushings for the mody mounts, i dont want to use the stock ones, one reason bein that they are shot to fuck, and the other is that they are the ugliest pieces of shit ive ever seen. So what are some suggesgions for custom bushings....i thought of something similar to a link end.....with a bushing like that inside of a tube....just like a link end....lol.
but what are some suggesgions? i plan on showing the frame as a rolling chassis next year, and want it to look damn good.
so post up some pics of how you positioned and mounted your bodymounts.
thanks

my bodymounts are 4x4x1/4" tube cut in half and I got a set of Prothane bushings for when its time for the cab to go back on.

how about using the same body mounts and set up as you would for your engine bay so the theme runs throught the truck and then when the cab comes off and on it will always line up perfectly

you wanna make it clean????ditch off the side of the frame body mounts and run a bolt thru the cab floor directly into the frame rail....you gotta beef the cab up but when its done you wont see ugly side mount body mounts when you lift up the truck to show off your work.....when youmake your chassis take a piece of tube to weld in your frame that holds a bushing(just a half from a two piece suspension bushing) below the bushing run a tap for your body bolt with correct length so you have a flat bottomed frame. take a square piece of 1/4" steel and drill your bolt size thru it then weld it to the body then drill thru your body and drop your bolt thru then tighten into the chassis.....how bout that, another one of my secrets is out
