buying truck from canada?

anyone ever done this? Is there a lot of paper work involved or do the titles bassically transfer over? also would driving it back over the border be a hassle with no registration only a canadian title in hand?

your best bet would be to contact your customs officers, they will be able to tell you all the info you need. You will have to let both the Canadian border and US border know you will be doing so a few days in advance as well as fax them some paper work. You'll have to fill out some import papers and what not.
Its probably easier for you to get a vehicle to the states from Canada than it is to get a vehicle from the states into Canada.

i was talkin to a guy the other day about bringing a truck from the us to canada he said he had to contact the border/dmv they required a copy of the title then in 72 hours he was able to bring it back and pay the fees and paperwork at the border.. as for going from canada to the us im not sure but id call the border and also your dmv and ask them what they require
