on my 63 rivi, which has suspension very similar to a 68 caddy, the frame is about an inch from the ground and im runnin a 255/50-18 in the rear, its like 28.5 tall, and ive just put bags in place of the springs. hte rearend is on the rails now, and if i go any lower( i.e. c notch) ill have to rearwork my upper crossmember and link bar so they clear each other ond dont bind up

it lays now jared... i had to build new upper link bars from 1.25" tubing... i told pete bout it yesterday but think its cuz im runnin a 225 75 15 tire which is alot taller than a 245 35 20. it was only a inch off the ground before i notched the frame tunneled the floor and got shorter shocks. did it between friday night and yesterday so hit me up if you wanna check it out

if the suspension is anything like a caprice... on my caprice i had to notch the frame, raise the driveshaft tunnel and it still wouldnt lay... it was becuz the stock trailing arms were binding up so i had to extend all of them almost 1 1/2" and now it lays flat as a board, its becuz they arent built to allow enuf travel so they bind up and actually hold the car up.... hope that helps ???
