technically it should work. The only issue is that those steel braided lines are not DOT approved and DOT requires a double flare at all connections, you are not meant to seal brake lines with just thread. Not that that stopped me

I went to my local hose people for custom legth break line when I extended my bike's swing arm and they sold me the line with the fittings but I had to assemble it my self for liability reasons. I did and it has been working for 2.5 years now. Now I guess whoever mentioned the DOT is on the right track but I would also be consearned with the preassure that you are applying to it. If you replace a hose with a bbraided line I think you are OK, but if you try to replace a break line with a braided hose, I would not think they have the same capability. I would really sit down at the local hose peope and ask them the difference in their performance.

you can get the bender, flaring tool, and hardline for cheap from eastwood. it sounds like you don't want to go through the hassle of having to take your lines somewhere to get flared.

yeah i didnt really want to have to flare new hardline but i just might. i just figured it be easier just to get some steel braided lines made and just pic them up from wherever and then just have to screw them into the proportioning valve and master cylinder. and just really liked the way steel braided looks. figured since i was having to change it anyway why not make it look good!
