im changing out my master cylinder tomorrow. ill be needing to change the size of the brake line that runs from the proportioning valve to the master cylinder cuz the stock line, as ive been told and ive seen myself on another truck is gunna be too big. so is it possible to run steel braided line from the proportioning valve to the new master cylinder? id like to know that way i wouldnt have to bend new hard line and get it double flared.

ditto will, that's why i looked, i want to know too! I should be getting my 7" booster/master cylinder combo w/proportion valve early next week, tomorrow i'm putting it in the "shop" (the 10 ft awning over what was the previous owner's wood shop and is now my gameroom/spare truck parts/custom shit not put in yet building) to start tearing stuff out to stuff 20's in the mofo.

As long as your using a good pressure tested line, I wouldn't think there would be any problems--other than making all your connections match.

well i know that steel braided line has a pretty high pressure tolerance(dont know if thats the best word to describe that but yall understand right)and i know if that people use it to run regular brake line so i figured it be ok using it for what i need but just didnt know if there was some crazy ass reason it wouldnt work there. just didnt wanna waste my money and have to do this twice if it wasnt gunna work. so thanks kevin but still like to get some more answers. just like for more people to reassure that its ok.

What I'm trying to say is, anyone can assemble a braided line, but when it comes to brakes---be sure it has been tested! Just my 2 cents.
