Where is the best place to buy vintage ac? Also how much does it run and is it hard to install?
vintageair.com they have a dealer locator...as far is the install I dont know...im getting one for my truck and a buddy of mine is gonna put it in for me
we spent a grand for the the one we are putting in a customers camaro, it doesn't sem like its going to be to hard to install.
if you dont have any knowledge of how a a/c system works, i would assume it could be tricky..
the one for my truck was 1300...but it has a/c,heat and defrost
If your truck came with A/C and all of the major components are good, but you cant fit you underdash crap due to tubbing and say a BD then you can buy jsut the A/C box and drop that in. Figure about $250 for a a/c only box but about a grand is right for a setup. They work great and most blow the air much harder then a stock blower motor. Gotta have air in this heat even if the windows are down, haha.
eric, does the box go behind the dash? If i'm not mistaken, the blower motor, etc for a fullsize chevy (88-98 anyway)is behind the dash, could i use one of those for my 99 s10?
