I have a 96 tacoma and i want to do the 2000 tacoma frontend the whole front end how hard is it I know the basic headlights grille ect.whats major that needs to be done
nothing, make a headlight mount and a grille mount bracket and the rest should be the same, maybe a bumper bracket and a little work spilicing on the corners and hood but nothing crazy
what do you mean splicing the hood and fenders
The hood and fenders are the same, but the corner lights are a little bit different. You may be able to make your 95-96 corner lights work, but I haven't tried.
Other than the grille and headlights, you'll also need the little sheetmetal "finishers" that mount under the headlights above the bumper. These are NOT available through the aftermarket, so you'll need to check the dealer or a junkyard to make that happen, or make them yourself.
The radiator support you have can be modified to fit the grille and headlights, but if you want to change your core support you can. We have it on our site for around a hundred bucks. Good luck with the swap!

i know the hood is different and how can the corner lights be diffrent if the fenders are the same thanks
Actually, let me clarify my last bit of info. The hood is the same from 95-2000, but in mid-2000, 2wd Tacomas came with the 4wd front end. This changed the fenders, corner lights, and grille (as well as the bumper assembly). If you want to switch all of that, you'll need to do some more work.
However, most people agree that the 95-97 bumpers (2 and especially 4wd) look better than anything from the later models.... my vote? 4wd fenders and corner lights, 97-00 headlights, a billet grille, and a 95-96 4wd bumper and valance- THAT would look nice!

are the tacoma 2wd and 4wd front fenders the same the only thing that looked different on the 4wd fenders is theres a bunch of holes where the flares bolt to isthe width the same
