i loked at these two setups and for some reason they look really unsafe to me. are these two setups really unsafe or would you feel comfortable if it were yours.the first one with white bars seems unsafe cause the upper bag plate is only being held by one bar meaning the rear of the truck is being supported by one small bar on each side...the second one where the upper 4 link bars are mounted to the ends of that pipe on top the rearend seems like they might bend... granted yea theyre not holding the support of the truck up but they are attempting to keep the reaend of the truck straight and centered. disclaimer: you can see i edited this page 4 times as to try and not offend anyone.. this is the best i could do.so sorry if these are your trucks and i offended you.if these are your trucks im not dissing you or the work at all.. i genuinly want to know the intergity of things like this.
no I dont think so.... I think it looks relly good. Looks can be deciving man.... u cant go by what you see.... u dont know what kind of materials were used and how thick that metal is.....I think both setups look pretty clean.... dont think id put my upper bars like that but I think its diffrent and definatly looks pretty sweet
yea both setups look sweet...but still seems iffy no matter the material.. it could not bend in the middle of the pipe but the force is greater over a longer length and even though it may not bend in the middle of the pipe it seems like closer to the welding point the force working against it could be a lot greater especially if you ever get on the gas hard or something. the reaend would have more forces working in different ways that seems like it would make it unsafe.just my thoughts thats all
yea those mounts on the 2nd one definatly need mroe braciing as does the upper mount on the 2nd one.
you said the second one as both of them.. did you mean first one for one of them? or were you talking about the same truck?
the second one should be braced a lot more, but the first one, think of it like this, one guy holding a big rock, he s the only one touching the rock, but then there are five other guys supporting him and lifting the rock with him, if you notice, the one bar is just for the bag mount, then the rest of the tube work is actually supporting that one bar, and then it all interconnects to the frame, so there is little stress on the single bar, look again closely where the bars go and attatch to, its actually done very well. the second one is a little iffy but it looks like its still being built, may just be a pic of a mach up.
yeah like the other guys said...you dont know what the material is made out of and you might not be able to see everything there. also, it depends on how much the truck is driven...maybe its a trailer queen and all the tube work was done for show therefore what support is there only has to hold the truck up and roll long enough to get off a trailer...i would contact the owners of those trucks and ask them all the questions about the support structure.
The first one seems alright, and the second one isn't even a finished frame so you can't really say anything about it until you see the end result.
The second set up is being done by Kyle - Guilty By Design, and I know he knows what he is doing. He is gonna make sure that its safe and strong. Dont knock some ones work when they are in the middle of building it.
first one looks bad ass and the second isnt done yet
