everytime i try to sell anything on the net i get a few of those scammers emailing me. Somebody must be falling for it tho, cause there must be thousands of people that keep doing this same shit.

This is a common activity.

My chiropractor, who sells foot inserts for competitive bicyclists on the side, received a similar money order almost 20 times the amount of the insert. Then he received a second money order for over $2K to purchase some type of electronic gear and then was asked to send the balance in a money order to someone else.

He ended up reporting the incident to the FBI.

In short, what they try to do is suck you in with the idea of getting over on some extra ends, then they try to run some other type of game.

I would just reply back to them with a nice "FU" and tell them to find someone else to scam!

My friend was trying to sell his BMW and some guy from out of the country wanted to buy it and only called thru those operator 3rd person calls. He sent him a money order for way to much and had some instructions to give a portion of it to his friend so he can ship it. The money order looked pretty damn real too.
