I guess ill start here!

How's it going, my names jake. Im new to the dually world per say. Eventhough my dually isn't a true dually....but its still a dually to me! I just got and 83 chevy c30 with a 350. Traded my lifted ranger for it, an here i am! So anyway Im a diehard ford guy all day long. My dad was a diehard chevy guy. He past away when i was younger and i feel like its about time to build a truck for him. He was a mechanic for about 20+ years. I learned most everything i know from him, He loved wrenching but thats what killed him. Miss him dearly so now its my turn to repay all the knowledge he shared with me and all he did for me! Name of the project is "This ones for you!"

Ok enough rambling here's a little about the truck
83 c30 2wd
350 v8
edelbrock 600 carb
edelbrock intake
edelbrock valve covers
mild crane cam
roller rockers
auto trans
true dual exhaust, flomaster 40's
.....some other misc stuff im forgetting

She still needs some love, I just ordered a 6/8 drop kit for it....i need dually trim badly if anyone has any please shoot me a pm!

Hey bud im josh. Looks like you got a solid foundation to build a nice truck! What makes it not a true dually? If its got 4 back tires it good enough for me. For christ sakes look at my"dually" its actualy a suburban!

Lol ok ya got a point! Truck only needs rocker panels and trim to be complete...

SO how does it feel to own a REAL truck? Hahaha.
Truck has a odd setup but I know where one is that looks like that, shallow wheels all around. Anybody know what the deal is on that?

It feels great to own a real truck! I love my Powerstroke!

Just wait till you get that old Chevy goin, bet that ford starts setting alot. But im sure when you're pulling the Chevy around with the Stroke the jokes will be plenty.

I have to admit- i drive my truck a couple times a week, just cuz it is fun to me. My kids love it too!

BTW- Nice 2fitty. I had a 01 7.3L 4door 2wd. I still miss it sometimes.

Welcome to the forum! My g-dad had an old ass dodge with a yellow tailgate! Love it thought i would let ya know u hooked me up with a good memory. I think thats bad ass ur doin a build for ur pops he had good taste! . Sorry for ur loss and good luck with the heavy chevy,
