bodydrop question

my buddy wants to body drop his truck, but he doesn't want to lower his engine or driveshaft just wants to drop the truck, make a cowl hood and a taller center counsel, i said no. but what do you guys think is appropiate

what kind of truck? how big of body drop? what kind of body drop?? traditional or stockfloor??
if he goes only a few inches he might not even need a cowl hood.. if he goes traditional he wont have to raise his center consol..

so id say yes its possible... mines body dropped no cowl hood nor is there a center consol in it

Not tryin to sound like a dick man, but his truck, his work, if he doesn't want to do it, I don't think you're going to change his mind. Its what he wants, but I would lower the motor being it an option

lowered the motor on my truck about 3/4", clears a stock explorer hood just mine. its stockfloored 3", the driveshaft tunnel doesnt come too far above the stcck floor until the extended cab part of the truck. i am running a bench seat and the top of hte tunnel just barely clears the bottom of the seat.

the only thing that sucks bout havin the motor stickin past the hood is that everyone asks you what size motor u got and in my case its a 4 banger and everyone looks at u like ur retarded cuz they dont understand but beside that I personally think it looks kinda cool

Personally I think its cool to see a truck laying rocker with a stock hood. To me, it looks like they went the extra mile to keep the engien under wraps.

I dropped mine 1/2" and modified my air cleaner box to sit 3/8" lower to clear my hood.

Stock hoods are sexy.



But its his truck and wants to do it his way and i would let him if i was his friend.

werd, i get, hey main dat tang der got a v8 in dat tang der main?

i did mine without lowering the engine or trans. with stock hood, just had to raise tranny hump in the front
