doesn't sound like a Stainless then.Lemme know what you find Corey. Eric's needing one ASAP for his '51 so we can take it to Showfest, he's building the cell for it as we speak. I'll keep searching myself
Hopefully you find it in time... I did a search on google last nite... came up with a few reuslts... but everything has been around that price range or the bung isn't stainless.
If I have to order one I wanna try and have it ordered by thursday I think.
Not sure where i'd look locally.

I called my supplier Corey. He said he can't get the stainless ones. But he said to check eBay, because hes seen them go for around $80 on there from time to time.

Are you looking for that totally smooth look on the fuel cell? Like is the top of the cell goign to be seen? Otherwise you could make an adapter that would fit the bung, and use some gasket paper to make it fit. But then again I dont know your plans really.
Also, I have a friend that works at a Harley dealership that gives me wholesale on parts. I'll send him an email right now to see if he can get a stainless bung. I'd have to order that one myself and then ship it to you though, otherwise he may charge full price. I'll let you know what he says.

Im trying to keep the cell looking as clean as possible, the top of the cell will be seen somewhat... i'll be doing a tilt floor or something like that eventually.... for this season i'll just be showing the frame pretty much with the fuel cell and what not on it.
Let me know what if your friend finds anything.
Thanks again!

Yea, I'll let you know if he can get one. And your local HD dealership should be able to get a hold of one.
Have you thought about running something other than a smooth cap?Would you be opposed to a cap like this?I made mine. It's about a 1 1/4" diameter cap, with a knerled edge. The cap is aluminum, and a I made the bung out of mild steel. The threads are just big enough to get a gas pump into. I think its cool. If I could find soem stainless I could probably make another one. It seals with an O-ring, and has a discrete vent. I have not machined stainless before though, I don't know how smoothly it cuts.
Also, Summit Racing has slightly large caps that are similar that are meant to be welded into custom overflow tanks or something like that. They might have them in stainless, but I am not sure. You would have to make it vented.
