about that ranger on 22's...

did you guys forget to put a block of wood on the top of the wheel before you bragged that the hood would shut? I have seen a gen 2 on 22's with the smallest tire made, and the tires come through the hood. (with less bodydrop than your truck as well)

well..the hood shut, and yes, that was with the nec clearnace..this isn't my first canoe trip guys...been fabbing for a longtime, was a certtified Ford Tech, and a cnc machinist, wyotech grad ...trust me......I'm also a professional hot rod builder......with the design we had come up with for the front end...it cleared the tire by about 2 inchs on top...there was pos. camber issues, but we were thinkin of solutions when my brother got discusted...the 5 inch b/d did clear the frame alittle too much, and in retrospect, we coulda went less...but yeah it layed frame.....before the body drop....dunno if on the 22's though...it was gettin set up for 20's the first round....like I said before....we did beams because EVERYONE said it couldn't be done...remember 22's on a dime....been there done that...:

I've heard this before, and its in the m/T: the m/t who says it can't be done is usually interupted by a m/t doin it....

its been done guys...sorry to burst all ur bubbles...numerous people have layed their eyes on it..unfortunately....the show public may not because my brother moved on to other projects.....someday....

there is no way that 22s layin rocker on ibeams would work, hell you have a hard time with 17s, the positive camber is the problem. there will be so much positive camber before the wheel can untuck that it will hit the fender way before it untucks, no matter what offset wheel you run. if you are such a good "hotrod builder" then you will know to ditch that bullshit and get with a control arm setup.
