lol! do everytihing yourself, youll get to know your truck better and when you have a problem you know what to fix. plus it helps to have good credit.
im in college and let me tell ya. its tough, I pay for all my own college, and got bills...2 cars...I really work my ass off for the stuff i want and know how to manage me cash flow. But one thing ive learned is not to expect it all at once. My car has been a slow process that slowly speeds up every year.
2 jobs UPS from 3-7:30 and then supervisor for a contractor the rest of the day until like 3 or 4. Stuff i can pay for now goes on credit card and stuff that takes a while i get a loan,, and make 2 or 3 payments a month to speed it up. But yet I am still able to live with my parents so that takes alot off of me that others may have to pay. But just try to save, and like one guy said dont go party as much.
i don't have a job but i sell shit here and there to pay for everything cash. i have almost everything except the rest of my metal for building my frame. about 1000 of my money came from a car and transmission i sold but the other 700 i have no idea where it came from. my parents don't give me any money to go towards it. i just save until i have enough to buy what i want/need and then buy it. plus, i have a friend who sold me some valves for less than if i got them online.
I work at a Wal-Mart DC and make decent money. Even after my child support is paid, I have a little to spend on the Ranger. Takes time. I have 2 more payments left on it, then its play time!
go to school get a trade or technical degree if you don't want to do the 4 year college. Once you got that, you can get a good job to pay for your stuff. Need to avoid the shortcuts, it will bite you in the arsh.
Minitruckin since 89' Yeah I'm old,,fawk off..
I just do body work on the side and dedicate all that income to my toys... well, most of it anyway... It'd be tough without having a source of "extra" income, that's fo sho.
Well, it's h*ll if your impatient...Just get some mason jars and throw all your loose change in it..But after i graduated college and got into management, it has helped out alot, but i miss alot of shows due to it...But one thing is for sure, you wont have anything unless your in debt...Oh yeah, stay away from magazine racks when you want stuff done, they tend to depress...l8r
