the dude just said the shop owner is his good friend i don't know about the two above me but i don't file lawsuits against my friends

yeah I was thinking lawsuit too...and the fact that the fire department didnt disconnect the battery when it iusually one of the first things they do because they know it can reignite a fire is pretty stupid

The shop owner didnt have insurance?? WTF, all busineeses are required to have a liability policy in case something like this happens....he is liable for the damage to your truck, you should not have to pay a dime to get your truck back to where it was before this happened! Your insurance shouldnt have to cover it! Get a lawyer so you dont get fucked, the Fire Departmant may be liable in this case

Well, considering that if you didn't have special coverage on the modified parts of your truck, (ie. custom bodywork, paint, any aftermarket accessory that was damaged) your insurance company will only cover damage to any factory parts of the vehicle... I'd consider a lawsuit. If the bodyshop didn't have insurance, friend or no friend, that's bad business practice. Why should you have to be out money just because a "Good friend of the family" was stupid enough to not have insurance coverage?

If your insurance does not cover it, I would hold him up for it. Friend or not. You lost alot because of this.

I am sorry to hear it. But some one has to be held responsible for it.

It's a good thing little shops suspension work didnt get fucked hopefully he can get u a new dime to set on the frame and do all the body mods free of charge huh.
