Northwest noob

I am looking to upgrade the bumper lights on my 2000 Chevy. I am debating between LED bulbs in the factory housing, or new LED assemblies all together. I want to avoid looking "cheap" same goes for the tail lights. I joined Duallyscene to ask the experts, so...any ideas?
