Just curious what you guys think.Got a new plasma cutter and pretty much have everything else needed to do it.We just got done puttin in a new gen II bridge kit and notch in my 82 ford courier. And I would like to do a traditional body drop directly after Slammin and Jammin this year. But want to make sure its done by Aug. Cause I wanna take it to ITB,Havoc, and Heritage show.Is this plenty of time or should I wait till winter?

you need to look really hard at the sterring box and brake booster. i did 3.5" and now building a new fire wall to relocate the booster.

Oh it already lays hard and now with the new notch and stuff it REALLY lays hard.I am lookin at proll 2.5 inches to body maybe 3 for lots of material to drag with? Its a small 2.2 pinto motor no real complications on first sight (I know some will pop up though).I do have to notch the cab already cause with the new notch and bridge the driveshafts gonna hit the back of the cab? So I dunno I really want to drag body in it and since its old school I really wanna do a traditional.Even though I am a big guy! lol. But I know what its like cause my buddys 92 ranger is traditionaled and its a bitch to ride in.But at the same time its a blast guess thats just the minitrucker in me!

Sweet truck dude. You might have to move the clutch slave cylinder, and brake booster. Depends if your wheel hits it on not. Good way to figure it out, would be to measure from your tire to those parts, and if theres more inches than you want to BD, then you'll be okay. As long as you measure right. I don't know how far those shows are apart, but you could probably get it all done pretty quick if you use your time wisely.

Like he said, you can be comfortable in a BD truck. My truck isn't body dropped yet, but I've figured out head room. I put Saturn seats in it, and they dropped me down around an inch from the stock buckets. And I got a billet steerign wheel, which is over an inch smaller than the stock one. Now I have around 4-5" headroom, and will be loosing 2". And I'm 6'4" 240lbs. Not small..

Thanks for the props man It's gettin there.I have like 2and a half months between those shows.I would be doin it with 2 friends and it would be our fist BD.So I wanna make sure I have enough time I hate missin shows without my truck. But I figure shops around here usually take a month so hopefully we can get it done.
