This was my 2nd year at the show, 1st showing. I had the green 4 door blazer bodydropped on 22s. On friday when i registered i just told one of the Sweet temp guys what shape it was in (no primer) and he said go ahead, then i found out it needed to be 75% primer wich i disagree with. I dont see how 4-5 cans of primer spraypaint dictate if the thing is being built or not, i was almost 75% bare metal on the inside.
All in all it was a good show, but was hurt by the rain. Ill be going again next year. Thanks to anyone who complimented the blazer.

Hell no! The blazer did not win, the fucked up STOCK ASS caprice won. I think it was bull shit. That thing was stock and never took its wheels off the ground other than his initial hop. I have all this on video as well as other XRated Customs members. Supposedly that caprice hopped 11" but on the video it never went more than 6". How do you judge a hop from the bumper when your bumper is not on the ground and obviously will go higher than your wheel? Last I heard you measure from the tire from the ground. Things must have changed. I must not know how to read a measuring stick. If this is how they judge why take a show vehicle to their show? This isn't the first year that bunk ass vehicles have won over clean show rides. By the way, to let those of you who weren't there last year know, this blazer won the hop contest with 6" of hop. There is no way that caprice managed that. blOriginally posted by mandca

We just got home also thought it was great again there were a lot of baddass rides and yes the blazer won the airbags comp.

I agree with the classing issue. It's a car show not a toy show.

it wasnt shit to do with the club as far as crappiness goes, just crazy-unsafe cars and trucks. The only complaint i hav to the club is to better ur timing with events, and to knock off and combine some classes so awards arent so damn lengthy. i wanted to stay to c who got the best of trophies, but it was takin way to long. Anybody know by chance who did get the best of awards for car and truck?

Hey guys, the show was decent. I went last year and all and all was about the same. I think the classes were a little messed up. I was in Chevy/GMC mild and showed against a waide variety. I did notice a couple street classed vehicles with more than the mild. Not to say I didnt belong in mild which I did. But I notice a mild with roll pan and 20s parked right beside a street with interior work, rollpan, bed cover, shaved gate and some more. Also, some people may have overlooked the paint on the Nissan Hardbody with lime green real flames.. Might I add you, the flames were painted by Mike LaVallee, paints for chip foose some on overhaulin. Anyways, who is showing at Meltdown in May?

Primer shouldn't matter. Under construction is under construction.
