i just picked up a 88 b2200 for 2 bills that needed a broken bolt removed from the crank this is the bolt that holds the timing belt pulley onto the crankshaft. after i got the bolt out i took the pulley off and im thinking i should replace it. the woodruff key was sheared off and the pulley was sliding around a ton. the keyway isnt jacked up or anything but i just feel i should replace it. dealer wants 240 bucks. theres nothing on ebay right now as far as that goes. anyone know where to find one? i also need the outside washer that helps guide the timing belt. and a new crank bolt and woodruff key. maybe an online store somewhere?

might want to get a crank too if it knarled up the end of the crank. Junkyard is your best bet.

yes, this happens actually quite often. My old mazda developed this problem and the proper replacement was a replacement crank as well as a new lower timing gear. Luckily for the new owner, I had the parts he needed. Unluckily for you, I already gave them to him.

i got a new woodruf key and crank bolt from mazda. crank isnt really torn up too bad. the woodruff key hole is still intact/not jacked so im gonna put it together and run it. before i even figure out the key was sheard it ran and ran well. with a new key and bolt to keep things tight i think ill be fine. the pulley isnt bad-bad. if not......then a used motor will be added to the budget!
