hey guys i was doing some research and i read that its possible to do a monoleaf with bags setup on the rear of my 92 dakota. what are the pros and cons of this setup.
to tell you the truth there probably arent any pros besides it being cheap, but if you want ride quality your sure as hell not gonna get it from a monoleaf setup. spend the extra money or build a 4-link.
well see thats the problem i don't have the extra money right now and won't for a good while the only way i will be able to roll the truck this suummer is if i do the mono leaf, if i do the monoleaf for now will i still be able to get the truck pretty low on 18 inch rims? and i had a crx with air cylinders the ride was pretty bad would you say that the ride would be comparable to that?
best way to do the leaf is pull all the leafs except for the longest and the shortest keeps those togeter and take it to a shop to get it de-arched you can lay on a mono leaf but you'll need some lowering blocks to do so i have a mono on mine and i fucken hate it i cannot wait for the day i fourlink it which should be some time next month seriously just wait till you can get the fourlink then do it mono leafs suck ass
if i wait then i won't see it done until next spring because the four link will run me around 4-500 bucks right? i mean how bad can the monoleaf be
i had the 2 longest leafs on mine for a year and no probs.
hey james were you able to lay frame? and did you actually have to get the leafs dearched?
yeah i'm not sayin dont do it, you can i did for a while but it does suck, especially if its a daily driver. you'll be hoppin over bumps asking yourself why did i do this?
get them de arched so you dont end up snapping them, and yes the ride is terrible.....
how exactly do you dearch them and whats the going rate for it? also do you guys run shocks to?
