my ranger is already bd'd but i'm gonna be building a whole new frame for it and probably running a mustang II front suspesion. I wanted to know what all was needed to lay out on 20's. I'm also thinkin bout puttin a v8 in it. Thanx for any help
all you need is space, really...what size rim and tire are you running now? what year truck?
Wait...i know that truck. you got it from sac.
supposably the front is already set up for 20's.
I've been wondering what happened to alices truck....
It may be set up to lay on 20s, but its gonna be tough to untuck them with beams. If you are planning to drive it much, I would definetley consider a front suspension swap. Either M2 or toyota.
its a post 98 isn't it? wouldn't have i-beams
im bodydroped on20s with i beams with no problems when driving
ya, it's alices old truck. She said the front was setup for twenties, but i'm wantin to do somethin where i can drive it alot and i wanna get rid of the ibeams so i'm plannin on a mustang II. So I'm guessin all i'm gonna have to do is start cuttin. I was gonna keep 18's and call it done, but then the plans for a full frame came into play and so i fig. i'd either go big or go home. Ya guyz know how it is
than you might as well go 22's!!!!
ya in the past day the plan has changed to 22's, i'm hopin for some advice on that and also on buildin the frame, a buddy of mine who has built a couple s10 frames but never a ranger frame will be doin it and i'll be helpin him so any help ya guyz can give me would be awesome
Just a thought when thinking about 20's or 22's , it can be a whore to drive a truck with big wheels and a bodydrop.( i know someone will say I'm gay for this ) I have 20's on the front of my 98 and It can be a hassle to drive sometimes. Unless you want to drive lifted all the time you have to constantly man the switchbox. I can't imagine 22's would be better. I even thought about switching to 22's as I am currently building a frame with a mII front suspension, but I intend on driving this ( no trailer ). Just something to think about if you really want to drive it alot. I plan on getting mine back to being close to a daily driver ( no winters of course ) Just thought I'd throw that in. Charlie
