hello from southern oregon

i have been a member for a while, mostly just lurk and search. im a fabricator/machinist in an exotic alloy company, i build hot rods, crawlers, and ak's in my free time.

i was in the middle of a squarebody crewcab dually project, but i found the craigslist deal of the week and picked up a new project.... i will start a project thread when i really tear into it, but for now im just fixing the issues so i can drive it to and from work. i have a pile of parts collected for teh squarebody that will make their way onto this truck.... standard bags/lay frame treatment, 12v cummins, and cut 22.5's

im in the medford/grants pass area. the squarebody is litterally a giant pile of parts.... '78 cab, 82 clip, 76 bed/fenders, 87 front frame section, and a bunch of 3x4 .250 in the steel rack. more than likely i will c/l what i can and scrap the rest....... i just dont need another project taking up space in my shop.

this truck was a "the guy needed money for x-mas" deal.... so i drove the 300 miles each way with a trailer and gave him the $1700 asking price. he thought it had tranny issues and threw in another 4l80e, turns out it had 1 completly plugged cat, and the other was about 75% plugged. it runs great now and shifts awesome.... so the 96 454/4l80e will be for sale so i can move on with my cummins swap.

I come down to you area at least once a year I have lots of relitves that live around you (hell you might be one) my uncle just retired from DSU Peterbuilt in medford.
we come and make a deposit at the 7 feathers casino once a year and call it a family reunion hopfully next spring when I come down I'll see that out running around
