What are the steps to lay an 1st gen s-10,I got it notch but i don't know where to go from there

depends the wheel size.. anything 24" and under, you just need cups, spindles bags up front, cut off the bumpstops. in the rear, you need 6" notch to lay 20's and a 4 link. its like laying out any other truck.. if you mean cutting.. up front you need to cut the spring pocket, that is it. (unless you get into 20's or a big 18" tire, you'll be doing more.

Well, I have it notched, but my drive shart rubs the rear wall of my cab so i have to notch it there to but what would i do after that?

you would need to notch it.. after that it should lay if you notch it enough. what size tires/rims are ou trying to lay on?

Stocks right now but 18s are the planned lay out and right after i bag it i'm doing a bodydrop. My original question wasn't how to bag it. It was what order is effective in bagging the truck. Like do the front or back or which order

there isnt an order.. do which ever you want first.. but if you're going to bd it, make sure it completely lays, if not the bd will be off.

Yea I know, but I asking whats easiest to do. Like if you were to write a step-by step article. How would you do it?

i'm doing my front first, it doesnt take as long and is the easiest to do.

ur prolly gonna have to get the raised gas tank crossmember also to clear ur driveshaft from the old crossmember thats what i am havin to do, and u might need to get some control arms also i am havin to, and yes u have to notch the cab a lil

on my 1st gen, with stock tires (25.4") i had to notch out the frame for the Lower control arm. Some people perfer to take off the lower control arm and cut off the "humps" on it, and plate em back up.. But either way works fine. I only had to cut like maybe 3/8" out of the frame for the LCA. I also had to remove my wheel wells and trim my inner fenders a bit for it to lay.. My passenger tire also laid pretty hard on the blower box. So if you are planning on keepin stock heat, you will need to either mod your factory blower box, or make a new one.

If you plan on going to larger rims, like 20's, or even 18s with a big tire, you will need to tub the firewall for it to lay, Possibly notch out the frame for the tie rods, and trim your cups down, And pie cut your upper control arms so your balljoints wont bind.

Most lower profile 18s, you wont need to pie cut the upper control arm, You may have to slightly tub the firewall, and nothc for tie rods tho. It really all depends on your tire size.

For the back.. Just a simple 4 link, Or a 3 or 5 link kit from suicide doors, With a notch, and that will put your frame on the ground.

The front is easy to bag.. But getting it to lay out, can be more of a pain in the ass, depending on what size tires you run.
