heck yes, 1" dom has more than enough strength, in 1/4" or 3/16" wall.

Suicidedoors.com sells it in different lengths, just check around locally too first in case its cheaper than paying shipping.

IMO suicide doors has ruined the world with them making everyone think you need freakin 20" thick bars. the setup is only going to be as strong as the weakest part, like the tabs the arm is hooked to the frame, or the bolts or the plate the balljoint is bolted to, or the balljoint, or the small bolts the balljoint is bolted to the arm with, etc etc... that 1" dom is plenty strong for even a fullsize truck.

^^I'm with you on that one Cris. People need to look at what they are welding their 1/4 thick brackets to. Most stock frames about a 1/8 so whats the point of making an airbag mount out of 1/4 inch thick and then welding it to your 1/8 frame? 1" DOM is certainly strong enough for control arms and will look better than going gross overkill.

i agree to, overbuilt does not mean better, if its 2 overbuilt, (like crossmembers) you will crack frames and such.

If you are hydros and hoping and stuff, yer going to brake stuff anyway you look at it. LOL

Hell, i remember back in the mid/late 90s making crossmembers out of 1" schedule 40 water pipe, never had a problem with that breaking. they are still driving to this day.
