Im starting my sheetmetal work this week gonna get the bedwalls and tubs done up for lay'd out...When i put the new sheetmetal in how can I protect the back from rusting seeing as how i cant really get behind there once its welded up?? and what is the heat blocker stuff.?
get some weld thru primer and put it on the backside
Weld thru primer is one way. Another is to drill a pin hole on the opposite side and use a brake cleaner nozzle with a straw to mass spray paint...the latter being a little "brocanic".

or flip the bed over and por 15 that bitch u can spray it right out of the can. heat blocker is a substnace that absorbs the heat from welding to keep from warping metal. thats the stuff i got, once it dries after u weld tho its no good,so u just reaply it and water and a rag washes it off
here are the specsHot Blocker Paste is designed to provide a protective heat barrier and to retard the transfer of heat through metal during welding and soldering applications.
