power wire for air zenith

what size power wire and what kind of relay relay is everyone running?b/c my relay keeps sticking open and i just melted my fuse.

I'd run 4 gauge directly from battery to the solenoid, then just use the AZ's stock wire. Be sure to have it grounded really good.

I used one of the 100% duty 150AMP solenoids used for shutting down battery to shut down vehicles entire electrical system when sitting. Works perfect.. and only costed about as much as replacing 2-3 'starter' solenoids before with my other compressors.

were can i find a solenoid at, you think pep boys or autozone would have them?

They have the starter solenoids, but those are the ones that you will replace pretty often, cheaper but still a pain in the ass. You could ask them, if they have 100%/Continuous Duty solenoids, made more for like.. Putting in line between your battery and fuse box, to shut down your electrical system of the vehicle when parked, etc.

The one I used, I sell them.. seems to work perfect, barely gets warm.. 150AMP Rating, but the Package even said 600Rush Amp rating (just didnt know what that meant). Costs about 2-3x as much as a ford starter solenoid, plus shipping.. but well worth it IMO.. all of my local friends are replacing theirs now.

we use and sell solenoids from warn the winch company they are 100% duty and seem to last real well!

starter soleniod with 6 gauge wire here. is it me or are these AZ louder than others?

starter soleniods suck get a 100% duty one from a tractor trailer place or an rv shop.

AZ might be a lil louder, I can't tell over my exaust anyway.. and haven't had other decent compressors in so long anyway lol.

i just got 4 gauge wire today i just gotta find a solenoid and we'll see how it works

mine's pretty loud, vibrates the hell out of my bed but its only on for like 30 seconds so i dont give a shit
