ok guys just a quick question, i started to install my 4 link kit, im installing it reverse and i was putting the lower bars on and just wondering if the location where i mounted was ok. i mounted the lower bars facing the rear on the bottom of the frame and underneath where the leaf springs use to sit. there was a flat spot there where the leaf springs were sitting. is that a ok spot to mount the bars, i tested and nothing is binding and nothing bottoms out or anything. and the other thing is the two top bars whats the best position to mount them? where should i be taking measurements from?

the bottom ones will be fine where you have them as long as nothing is binding and they are parallel. the upper bars need to be the same angle to the ground as the lowers and triangulated if you have room. if not youll need a panhard to keep the rearend from shifting.

well i tacked the bottom ones in and moved the rear end up and back down to see if anything touches or bindes and it moves smooth so i thought it should be ok. just i usually see ppl mount it in the inside of the framewall thats why i was wondering

no. the location is not o.k.... the bars need to be facing forward.

Im not gonna start a forward/reverse war so IN MY OPINION i would run forward. this always gets ugly so id do some research on them first.

just like travis said i dont wanna start a war on the forward/reverse thing, but im choosing a reverse set up for one reason being i havent relocated my gas tank, and i belive reverse isnt much pinion angle change. i see plenty of trucks with a reverse set up and none have problems. as long as pinion is set right there shouldnt be a problem. but back to where i was welding and not turning this into another forward/reverse debate thread
