batteries and welding

I thought about getting one of them battery thingies to clip onto rides so i dont' have to disconnect the battery when welding, anyone use these? Do they work? I can't remember what they are called, LOL dayum it!Thanks

when i worked at the muffler shop the one we had just collected dust, it just keeps from surgin to the pcm/acessories. just undo it lol

it could be if the welder surged your electrical system.

ya, if im doin major work on a vehicle, the battery will be disconnected just because, but if im doin quick work on a lift or something, i never bother with the battery. just make sure your ground is close to what youre welding so the current doesnt have to go far..

I always disconnect it to be safe. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

a couple seconds of your time is not as valuable as a brand new computer....

blew some fuses/flasher relay. I pull the negative everytime now!
