I wouldn't say im the best with photoshop, but im 'ok' no where near the level you guys are at. But does anyone know of a pinstripe tutorial out there. Something to show me the start, so I can practice a bit ect.
Thanks.
Just play, i taught myself how to do it just by playing with the pen tool. Best suggestion would be find a pic of some stipe work and try to duplicate it. Look for tutorials on the pen tool, and youll get it sooner or later.
think of pattern and lines for the pattern just randomly draw some lines with illustrator and mirror it. i did it with my sig below

If you think that's all pinstriping consists of them i'm ashamed to say i'm a pinstripe artist. it's way more then just random lines, you gotta preplan a little bit and get a good flow. random lines look like a cluster fuck of mess.... or u can be like others and just buy a few of them and use em over and over...

I've been playing around with illustrator a bit and it definetly aint as easy as it looks. Doug, when you're doing yours do you use a tablet?

its a start..
I will say this, open lines dont flow. Anyone who does striping whether it be with a brush or a computer, or both will tell you that. There are places for them, but leaving every line open or the majority open does not look clean.

Thanks!, i'll keep that into account. This is my first time attempting something like this, I dont even do it with paint. So it'll take me awhile, but any help sure does help!
there isnt any rules to pinstriping... but i do agree.. open lines dont look so clean... if you do open lines.. make sure the curves are the same. so it flows better and keeps it lookin cleaner
