That happened to a couple buddies of mine..only they didnt want a new liner. But they didnt have much choice when there Line-X came out like a drop in.

They vary so much from liner to liner it seems, try to find one that you have seen sprayed consistanly. Also no bedliner will hide many imperfections and the reason they dont want it primed or repainted is because it will usually flake off if it is not a good paint job. We have had problems in the past with it sticking to repainted trucks.

it's all in the prep for just about every urithane liner. I have peeled just about every type of liner out there, just let them know you would really like the prep bitch to take their time on sanding and scotch-briteing the corners (only be nice about it) and since RHINO is a cold low preasure system, the dry time takes longer so liner that is sprayed on will settle over imperfections more, but that also means that you might get drips or runs, depending on the the sprayer, i'd stop by your local liner shop and ask to see a liner that they just sprayed, you might catch the boys pulling a fresh spray out of the bay. (man i should cut an album)

That brings me to my next question. Is the liner paintable? I'd like to spray it the same color as the rest of the truck. I have seen bed liners painted but I just wonder if it holds up.

U can get it color matched. It doesnt need to be painted.

The color will always be off though, if you are going for a show application paint it afterwards. Check into Superliner as well because it seems to match up colors better and hold its shine.

Not if it's done right. I had my Rhino Linings color matched and I didn't have to paint it at all. The color match was closer than any I have ever seen. And as far as "shine" goes.. The darker colors show fading faster and if it doesn't shine like you would like then they have a "shine" restorer and it looks great. So you could stay on here and everyone will point out things about EVERY liner that isn't perfect. Best better is just to shop around alittle and ask to see some samples. Actual trucks are better than seeing pictures because pictures can hide alot. And dont' be afraid of the smaller "name" company's because most of the larger company's (ie. Rhino Linings) sell thier mixing product to them so it's all the same pretty much in the end. So that's my 2cents and I'm done with it now

My line-x was color matched pretty much perfectly to the blue i used (vw blue lagoon) it didn't fade or anything.

After seeing some spray in liners that you guys have out there (no body in particular) i hate to say it but they look like someone had some buckwild spray farts and there was blobs and runs everywhere... didn't matter if it was line-x or some other name brands....weird.

Pretty much all the line-x liners i've seen done here in canada are very uniform and have a nice texture to them.

Steve's Rhino liner was damn good lookin though!
